I was distressed when I sat down on our oak Windsor chair and the seat suddenly cracked along a slat line.

... Green Furniture Hospital not only reassured us that it could be fixed but also explained that it was made by the Richardson Brothers, a company that would have fixed it for free but unfortunately went out of business years ago. Green Furniture repaired it so that the crack is undetectable for $100--which would have been about what it cost us to buy a new particleboard chair at IKEA! -

They do excellent work. I've taken multiple furniture pieces to be repaired here.

Stellar example of underpromise and overdeliver. The work was completed well ahead of schedule. One piece was a drawer that had many problems, but the only job discussed was new handles and was quoted accordingly. Everything got fixed, suppose the craftsman couldn't stand to send it back rickety!

I took my duncan phyfe table legs in for a 'bit' of repair. Our dog had chewed out a sizable piece of the leg. The leg has fine grooves and detail so I didn't expect much - maybe repair some of the damage with sanding, coloring, etc... I picked it up yesterday and was amazed - I couldn't tell there were any chew marks at all. I totally did not expect such a fantastic job. Very nice people as well.
