Gabrielle Sigal Yoga

Yoga Instructor

In addition to being a former dancer and Certified Personal Trainer, I am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and a Certified Yoga Therapist. I have studied with Senior Teacher Joan White since 1996. I value the discipline, the precision and the systematic method of Iyengar Yoga. I also value the tradition and the lineage that we share. BKS Iyengar helped make yoga accessible to everyone and devoted his entire life to sharing his knowledge which continues to be handed down to us. When I decided to teach, I initially had no idea what a huge responsibility teaching requires. Part of the responsibility I feel is to share yoga with as many people as I can. To this day I am as excited as ever to keep doing just that.

To inspire, incourage and educate. To teach by the method set forth by B.K.S Iyengar, as my teacher taught me. To make a difference in someone's life, no matter how small and ignite a spark that leads to greater compassion, and self understanding. Read more

Gabrielle is absolutely wonderful! I have been taking Iyengar classes with her. Not only does she offer thoughtful and clear instruction, she focuses on making sure that you get each pose right. Sensitive to your needs and mood, she mindfully encourages you without it being intimidating. The energy in the room is also quite relaxing.

Gabrielle is a fantastic yoga instructor and now has a great space in No. Libs neighborhood. The space is bright and modern. She offers great instruction and really helps you think about form and getting the poses right. It really makes a difference. The specific type of yoga being practice is Iyengar. She's great for beginners through advanced. Would totally recommend you give her a try.

I first met Gabi at a yoga dinner which was a collaboration with Lisa of FullMoonFare who I've taken some cooking classes/seminars with at my local Whole Foods. They did a few yoga dinner series together which I really enjoyed and I ended up winning a private session with Gabi at one of the dinners. I got a lot of great tips on how to improve my practice on some pose I was personally working on as well was others during the session. Gabi and Lisa recently started doing yoga brunches, be on the lookout for these via instragram or facebook they are fabulous events, where I finally got to see the new space Gabi was working out of and found out she started a Saturday class. ...
