Skiled, great environment, always something to browse in addition to good repairs.

Great shop, reliable repair work and fair prices. Located in on York in Highland Park. Check out their large selection of used gear for sale, too.

I had a guitar neck replaced here recently and was thrilled with the results. Its a bit of a shlep for me to get here coming from the west side but I was glad I did once I saw the finished product. Quality work, quick turnaround time, and reasonably priced. At most other shops you only get to pick two of those qualities, but here you get all three. 6 stars.

Got my fender restrung, dudes even hooked it up and greased up the neck and cleaned it. I love when a place goes above and beyond for their customers.

Highly recommend for instrument repairs and upgrades!

While this is a music store, I've never gone there to buy any of their used instrument/accessories - most of it is niche/retro type stuff that doesn't interest me at all. What keeps me going back there is the great guitar work by Greg. A friend of mine recommended his work as a guitar tech/repair and I've been very happy with his work. I've taken in 3 different guitars and gotten everything from a complete rebuild/upgrade project to just a basic setup and fret work. Each time I've been very happy with the work he did.... -

Really really like this place. Yes, it's got old used gear...but I came to them to get some synths repaired and it's been a pleasant experience every time. Unfortunately I can't say the same for everywhere else. It's not as easy to find a good tech anymore, synths/hardware aren't just as big or popular as they used to be. Everything's gone digital...

That said they are also one of the few shops where you'll come across 70s/80s Roland, arp, etc gear. I came to really appreciate this place after buying a rackmount that needed some help. Boomer, the synth/keyboard tech, is really thorough with his work and has pretty much been able to fix whatever I've gave him. He also stands by his work and is a good guy to ask about old gear too if you're not sure. He'll give you his advice.
It's super nice to have a shop like this in the LA area, and even though it's an hour drive each time I don't mind it that much. I really think places like this need to stay in business.
