I've been coming here for years. I have had both several pieces of furniture repaired, and also dining-tables pads made.
Original recommendation
I keep coming back because of the quality of the work, and the honesty of the staff. They do what they say, and they don't over promise. And they get things done on time! -

The Furniture Doctor of Bellmore, NY is awesome! ... Furniture Doctor of Bellmore is privately owned and has been by the same owner for over 40 years. They are NOT affiliated with the bad, in-home service call company of the same name. Call them; they will tell you outright that table top scratches CANNOT be touched up satisfactorily, especially in the home.
Original recommendation
Furniture Doctor of Bellmore does great work. If it's worth repairing or refinishing, it's worth doing right, and these people do it right. -

WRONG COMPANY NOTED. THIS SHOULD BE A REVIEW FOR FURNITURE MEDIC NOT FURNITURE DOCTOR.

The repair person came to fix deep scratch in my dining room table. He used a wax to fill in the scratch. The wax was dark brown. The table is light brown. The table looks much worse. They sent a manager to look at the work and he gave a story about how the wax gives the look of natural darkness in the wood. There is no natural darkness in a light brown wood. I would not recommend tis business.
