This place is amazing hands down! The way they work with inner city youth is truly inspiring. They build amazing bikes from scratch and sell cargo bikes. Bike super center that is world class.

Amazing Local shop that cares about your needs. No pushy sales person. They asked what I was looking for and sent me in the correct direction as far as need and price goes. I also learned they have a great program to get kids riding bikes. They even provide tools and training so kids can learn to fix on their own! keep up the good work!

Firth and Wilson overcharges for repairs. They charged me double what a nearby bikeshop charged me for the same service. They nickel and dime for small parts, and charge more than competitors for the same gear. Shop around.

It's worth your time to stop in and browse this shop even if you have nothing in particular to build, buy, or have repaired. They have an excellent inventory of primarily "practical" bikes, a good selection of parts and accessories, and some frankly cool people working there.

In addition to being skilled mechanics, Simon and David are frame builders (excellent ones, judging by some of the cycles in the shop.) This qualifies as a "big deal," especially when you walk in with a frame under your arm-- as I did-- hoping that someone can change a crucial dimension on a classic and largely irreplaceable bike to make it friendly for modern components. 99% or better of the shops you try this in will give you a puzzled look, tell you it can't be done, or offer to have it sent out for work. This is not one of those shops. Simon had me on my way in short order with a perfectly aligned frame and a smile.
Eminently reasonable repair rates, quality service, and all-around good folks. It doesn't get any better than this. -

Excellent shop with the most beautiful old tools.

I recently brought in a steel frame with a large dent, and Simon smoothed it out for a great price, in a very timely manner, and with minimal additional damage to the paint.
I highly recommend this shop to anyone who doesn't think carbon everything and 12 speeds on the rear are fundamental to cycling. -

Stopped in here with my girlfriend for her to buy her first bike about a week ago. She's just learned to ride a bike for the first time (as an adult) and the staff was amazing with her, and patient with her questions and helped her pick out a bike that suited her needs and skill level. She ended up leaving with a Linus Dutchi 3, and couldn't be happier with it.

I am now in the market to buy a new bike for myself, and I will absolutely be coming back to buy it from this shop.
