Gardener

Established in 2001.

Designing gardens is not my work...it's my life! I've been playing in the dirt in my hometown of Los Angeles since I was a little girl, alongside my dad, who is also a native Angeleno and avid nature and garden lover. With a Bachelor's Degree in Art History, I approach each landscape design as a piece of living art. I see each of my clients as my 'muse' and it's my job to interpret their unique desires and personalities. The soil is my canvas, plants are my medium.

I am a certified Victory Gardener, studied landscape architecture at UCLA Extension and founded the urban farming nonprofit The Edible Apartment. I have led urban farming programs at Los Angeles schools for the past 8 years and currently teach 1-8 graders on how to eat healthily and grow food. I've also lectured on sustainable agriculture at UCLA, USC, and Santa Monica College. Read more

Jill is a dream! ... She sent us a list of the plants we were getting, as well as the soil amendments we needed. The next time she came over, we planted! She was able to direct us in where to plant what, how to water and harvest, tree trimming, taking care of the soil, and she is planning to make house visits to make sure the garden stays on track! We couldn't have done it without her. We highly recommend Jill !

Jill is a magician!!! She transformed my boring yard into a mini farm. She asked for a rough outline on what I wanted and then took everything else into her own hands. She was also kind enough to educate me on what went in, how to care for it and how long it should stay. I had an issue with one of the plants and she was so helpful afterward. Can't send enough praise her way!
