I started Escalada Education Co. with the hopes of improving learning for my students based on what their needs are rather than just getting through the class or subject matter. My first teaching position at 16, was a summer camp gymnastics instructor, and a few months later, I became my own competitive team’s substitute coach. After college, I rediscovered teaching through an AmeriCorps program at a small pre-K to high school charter school and by tutoring mathematics of various levels at a franchise learning center. I moved to a small charter high school and served at the math lab instructor and substitute teacher before being promoted to science teaching. I hired Erica to tutor my daughter in Spanish. I loved that she came to our house. That made life so much simpler for our busy schedule. Our daughter really responded to her. She enjoyed having Erika come over and got a lot of the sessions. We liked her so much that we actually asked her to also tutor my daughter in math. We will definitely call Erika anytime we need help in the future. She's very friendly and fun, and can tackle a broad range of subjects. Highly recommend!

From 2015 through 2016, we used 4 tutors over a variety of subjects Algebra, Spanish 2, Biology, Geography and English for our 15 year old daughter in a "Home/Tutor" Schooling situation using the Keystone curriculum. One of those 4 tutors was Miss Erica, we call her "E"! :-) The other tutors were good but they were just moving too slow through the curriculum. ...
