As a I big guy, I have consider durability and strength over looks and lighter wheel sets. Chris came up with a 36 hole set using Velocity Blunt 35 rims and a Shimano Deore combo for a wonderfully strong set of practical big guy adventure touring mountain bike wheels. Chris taped them up for tubeless as well.

The wheels were built a most three years ago and have been trued only once since after for a very minor I created. I mentioned to Chris that his wheels remind me of a wheel set I purchased in Japan in the mid 90's by a master wheelbuilder that lasted years without needed attention. I feel strongly that the wheels Chris built for me will last for many years and stand up to big guy abuse.
I am 296 lbs and I ride Chris Murray Wheel Work custom Hand Built 36 spoke wheels.
