Charles Brooks, DMA is a professional jazz vibraphonist, percussionist, hand drummer, pianist, clinician, composer, and educator in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is also the state's only four-mallet vibraphonist actively performing and teaching, and he is a 2015, a 2017, and a 2018 Grammy-nominated educator. And just this year, he was recognized by international audio component giant K&K Sound by receiving the honor of being named a 2017 K&K Sound Company Artist of the Month. In addition to teaching, composing, performing, and recording, Brooks has just finished writing two educational instruction manuals for the drum set and the vibraphone is working to secure publishing.     Dr. Brooks helped me overcome many studio production learning curves on a number of DAW platforms. He was a good friend and mentor when I was at my greenest. He has been at the center of current Jazz performance in Baton Rouge for quite some time now, and his vibraphone skills are second to none.
