Patty Ivey, founder of DDY, is a master teacher who has created what is hands down the most incredible yoga community in our DMV area. Dedicated, passionate instructors and 4 different studio locations, each with it's own charm and personality, offering Baptiste inspired power yoga classes. DDY sets the bar high and inspires, uplifts and empowers each and every body that walks through the door.

Down Dog is much more than a yoga studio, although if you're looking for a good sweaty workout it definitely excels at that! I've met awesome people, made new friends, and encountered some of the most caring, empathetic, and kind people in the DC area. The Herndon studio is my home away from home and I've yet to go to a class I didn't enjoy.

Not your typical DMV studio. Authentic Baptiste-style yoga with an incredible, passionate staff. From the staff who happily greets everyone who walks through the door with a smile, remembers your name, and makes you feel at home, to the teachers who take time to get to know their students. I love that Down Dog offers a variety of teachers and classes. I wouldn't think of practicing anywhere else.

I was first brought to the Clarendon studio by a friend last year and it amazed me how clean the studio was and how friendly the staff was. The second time I visited, they remembered my name and welcomed me back. Now, a year later, I'm still a loyal customer. The variety of classes offered and the different personalities of the teachers make it a new experience every time. The classes themselves are a killer workout for the body and the mind.
