Don's Bike Shop

Bike Shop

Scott took over Don's Bicycle Store shortly after turning 18, after the sudden death of his father Don McAfee. Scott grew up around bikes and he shared his fathers passion for the business, and eventually the sport. He began road racing, and after years of training, made it to CAT 1 the highest level for amateur cyclists. He is a two time California state champion who has competed in the Olympic trials, Redlands classic, and either won or podiumed in some of the toughest bike races on the west coast. He also managed a mens and womens professional team, four of which made it to the Olympics. Today Scott's main focus is operating the family business. To which he says, "I think my dad would be proud if he could see the shop now."

Dons Bikes was opened by Don McAfee in Rialto Ca. Back then it was a one-man operation. After multiple expansions, a brand new megastore in Redlands, and over 20 employees the shop still maintain the same old fashion friendly customer service that Don would be proud of. Read more

5 Stars all around for the staff, Paul the manager and the owner. A Bicycle store that not only has what the industry has to offer but supported by a very knowledgeable and courteous staff.

I drove to Redlands from Palm Desert to Don’s bike shop on a friends recommendation. Could not have been happier now a excuse to drive to Redlands.

When I picked up my bike it ran great however after an hour of riding, our bikes began making clicking noises and my front derailleur was rubbing on the chain. The next day we took our bikes back to the shop and they fixed my derailleur however they said they could not fix the clicking noises. After I searched for the source of the clicking noises for half an hour I figured out that the noise was coming from the rear suspension (Which they did not mess with in the tune up) so I took off my rear suspension and simply added grease to the pivot points. ...
