The environment is stimulating and challenging, providing children with basic techniques and skills for the development of self discipline. We provide a fun environment, where play is valued as a learning experience! We also believe in giving free choice in certain activities to help develop decision-making and other independent skills. My daughter attended Detour for 2 years starting at 6 months until 2.5 years old. Throughout the years we had consistently fantastic experience with the directors and each of my daughters teachers. ... I highly recommend Detour to any family seeking a nurturing/caring environment with outstanding curriculum. Unfortunately, we moved out of the Chicago area otherwise we would have stayed until my daughter reached kindergarten! Thank you Detour!!

My daughter attended here since 6 month till 3 yr. It's a school that feel like home, filled with love, passion, hugs and laughter. ... In addition, most teachers would proactively communicate to parents about high and lows of the kid during pickup. We did shop around all the dayschool in southloop and we are happy with our choice and would highly recommend to all friends.

An incredible place for a day care. The staff where very attentive to all the kids and helped with the kids development.. Our Son attended from when he was 3 months to 10 Months. Great place!

I was lucky enough to find Detour 2 Discovery Day School on Yelp and want to make sure others know how amazing this place is. ... I know many families who have moved out of the area but continue to bring their children to Detour because it is so great. We plan to stay as long as possible because I know my kids deserve endless hugs and excitement - and the Detour staff delivers!

Hands Down....Best place in the Chicago loop area. ... We are so happy we chose D2D and we absolutely love Ms. Jeni and Mr. John, the owners and executive directors. Ms Audra, who is also a site director, is great, too. We think the entire staff is committed and loving and we feel lucky to be a part of this place!
