Daza Dance Ballroom Academy

Dance Teacher

Dance is the expression of the soul through movement, body lines and shapes used as a form of social expression and interaction. Dance embodies emotion and tells a story. It combines the technical exactness of the action and the sublimeness of the feeling that the form brings up within itself. Ballroom Dancing unites the art of connecting, feeling and experiencing non-verbal communication with another person as you move, interact and express your selves as one.

Ballroom dancing is more than just the classic dance styles such as Foxtrot and Waltz but also other rhythms like the Cha-Cha, Rumba, Jive, Samba, Mambo, Bolero and even some of the most current social street dances like the Argentine Tango, Salsa and West Coast Swing. Each dance has its own value and special characteristics; no one dance is better than the other; as you go through your dance journey your “dance” taste will often change based on what you feel more comfortable with at that moment. Whether you want to compete in Ballroom Dance or just want to have fun and make new friends, Daza Dance is the place to be. Daza Dance has been all of those things to me and more. The staff at Daza Dance, Antonio, Mario, Maxi, Callie and Masha are knowledgeable and accomplished. There is a feeling that you are a part of a family, and your family is people of all cultures and backgrounds. I highly recommend this studio, and if you are just learning to dance the environment is extremely encouraging and supportive.

I began working with Masha Chubenko, as she was highly recommended to assist with helping me be lighter on my feet and with hip movement for a fitness competition for which I was preparing. Mission accomplished, as I placed First in my height class & Second in Masters over 40. I also had so much fun learning to dance and now have the confidence to join in at events. Masha has a very sweet spirit and a way about her that makes her students feel comfortable and at ease. I plan to continue with my lessons and look forward to learning more advanced dance movements, all while having so much fun!

I recently attended my first class at Daza Dance. I was hesitant to go because I didn't want to embarrass myself any further than I already do when I step onto the dance floor. However, all of the other students in the group class I attended were extremely encouraging and nice. My instructor; Antonio, was amazing! He carefully walked us through all of the basic steps for the dances we were learning during the lesson and as we practiced he would go around to everyone to guide them and give them positive critiques to make sure we were executing them properly. ...

I just attended my first dance class at Daza Dance in Buckhead. I had to drag my boyfriend, but we ended up both having an amazing time. No joke, he had fun too! It was a group class and our dance instructor, Antonio, was awesome. He was not only a great teacher, but funny. The class was relaxed and everyone seemed to be having a great time.
