Danceworks Of Miami

Dance Teacher

In 1982, Danceworks of Miami was established under the direction of Lana Brown. In 2004, Kirsta Irvine became Owner and Director of Danceworks. The studio and office are conveniently located between Spots Dry Cleaning and Fantasmic, in the Crossings Shopping Center.

Because a large part of improving and gaining confidence as a dancer stems from stage experience, Danceworks provides students with a variety of performance options. Year-End performances are held in June and combine all aspects of a professional performance including costumes, lighting, and music, as part of the presentation. Other performances include Spring Ballet Concerts, Dance Workshops, In-Studio Performances, Youth Arts Festivals, and Danceworks Summer Camp.

Danceworks also provides an opportunity for our elite dancers to be a part of our Jr. & Sr. Performance Ensemble. These hand picked dancers are chosen by the Administration and Staff of Danceworks to represent our studio in community events. Read more

Where do I even start?!? I cannot sing this businesses praises enough. My daughter started in her first ballet class here when she was 3, she is now 9 and still attending Danceworks (she will be taking 3 classes this year....ballet/jazz, flamenco and hip hop). We love everything about Danceworks, Ms. Kirsta the owner, is a complete doll, she makes you feel like you are part of a family and she is truly there for the love of dance and not to just make money. All of the teachers that we have encountered in our 6 years there have been equally amazing and made my daughter feel loved and special. This summer my daughter did the summer camp there, which I have to say is Miami's best kept secret, it is a girls-only haven full of dance, crafts, fun and games. There is no competitive factor to this dance school, and instead the girls spend all year preparing for an end of the year racial which is amazing! If you have a little girl and are looking for a dance school in the Kendall area, come and check this place out.

My daughter has really grown as a dancer here at Danceworks im the past 4 yrs. More importantly they are a family. The teachers all know her by name and the girls are all great girls. It is truly a caring atmosphere where they go above and beyond. Summer camp is awesome and safe as well. I drop my daughter off here with my eyes closed. Many different styles of dance that are not offered at bigger dance schools. One recital a year. This was our 4th and final dance school. Finally found what we are looking for.

Just signed up my little girl for her 3rd year. Honestly this is the best studio around for little girls. They have tons of classes to chose from from flamenco, salsa, belly dance, & many more. I've enjoyed my daughter so much going here these past couple of years. I don't want to try else where. As I learned going to other dance studios, that this is the best studio around. They have the same dance instructors & same staff members. So they are not a revolving door of staff.
