I got started in the door business by working for another door company who taught me the trade. That business fell on hard times and I started Crystal Door as a side company. I pursued other professions but got drawn back to this type of work. I went at it full time, and after great growth in the first couple of years. In January of 2000 we incorporated. We have been steadily growing since. We now have a office and showroom at 5030 w Lawrence Ave. Our goal is to become a household name in Chicago, with that small business feel that has made us what we are today. Crystal installed my new garage door and lift about 9 years ago. They did a good job at the time and now nine years later that came out quickly and replaced a worn gear in the lift. The pricing was reasonably and the service was both done correctly, quickly and for a reasonable price.

Fast friendly service, upfront pricing, great quality work. I am glad I called Crystal Overhead Door before going anywhere else. I read the reviews here so I decided to try them out. So glad I did. Great, fast and friendly service. Called In the morning and they were able to come and install a new opener same day. They were slightly cheaper than a competitor we called. Would highly recommend.

We had such a great experience with Crystal. Mary in the office is really nice and understanding, and Mark the technician was super polite, punctual and knows his stuff. They came the morning after I called. I was prepared to spend a ton of money replacing both door openers but Mark showed me how the other guys had miswired switches, failed to perform maintenance. He got everything working great and I paid only $150 to make a longstanding problem go away. HIGHLY recommend!

Had an overhead garage door system installed by Crystal Overhead Door, and 2 years later the door wouldn't stay down - during a brutally cold December day (of course - when else, right?). Called the company and they sent someone out the same day to deal with it. Turned out to be a simple fix of aligning the sensors. I sure appreciated their prompt response and no-nonsense customer service follow-though!
