  Stopped in today to make copies of my house key, $8 and 5 minutes later I had 4 excellent copies that all worked well on the door! Definitely recommend.

  Jim Cox solved what could have been a very expensive repair problem for me at a reasonable price. Most of all I'm amazed and thankful at the effort he put into tracking down a very hard to find part to repair my door entrance latch. After spending hours on the Internet and days talking to and visiting locksmiths and retail sales places like Elliot's Hardware in the Allen/Plano area, I was convinced I'd have to spend a lot of money to buy a new set and have my door refinished. Nobody does repairs and most don't want to put much effort into helping you. Nothing I could find was the same size as my existing set and no one would even consider trying to repair it. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the best repair experience I've ever had. Thank you Jim and Laura at Cox Key and Lock!

  The people at Cox Lock & Key are awesome! I stopped by while driving home from work today because it looked like their neon light signs were still on & I had a that key two other hardware stores were unable to successfully replicate for me over the weekend. The owner of the shop who happened to be outside talking to the pizza delivery guy saw me and said "Do you need a key made? Well come on in." And even though the sign on the door said they close at 5 he opened up, made my key, offered me pizza, showed me a photo of him, his wife & kids with Lynard Skynnard, said the reason the guys in that band are still alive is because they are addicted to ice cream and then gave me an unbeatable price on the key. Seriously, I can't recommend them highly enough :-)

  This is the only place I will ever refer clients to for any lock and key issue. This family run business is professional, helpful, and priced reasonably. They not only saved me money by making me a new programmable key for my car, thus skipping the dealership, but they did it timely with a smile on their face. Shop Local!!!
