Copernicus STEM

Day Care

Copernicus STEM, Language and Arts Academy provide quality care for children 18 months to 5 years on a campus that is uniquely Austin. Our mission is to engage children from a young age in creative, STEM-based activities, in a dual language environment (English/Spanish) to promote the development of all intelligence and give children the opportunity to become avid learners and successful innovators for our rapidly evolving society.

Children will foster their creativity and personal expression through play at Copernicus, while engaged in STEM and art activities. Our STEM-based curriculum features daily themed activities differentiated for each developmental age and tailored to their abilities. Children are encouraged and challenged to foster self-confidence and overall educational growth. Read more

When my family moved to Austin, we put our then two-year-old daughter in another school and she was not happy. (The center billed itself as an academy, but wound up being more like glorified babysitting.) It was painful to drop her off every day and know that she wasn't having fun, wasn't learning, wasn't growing.

... Our daughter no longer attends (the location became difficult to get to after we had another baby), but Copernicus still has a special place in our family's hearts.

We recently moved into Mueller and were looking for a daycare nearby. My daughter had been at a Spanish Immersion school in Westlake prior so Spanish was important to us, and Copernicus seemed to check enough boxes. Violet has now been there four months and we've just grown to love it more and more over time. ... My son is 10 months and I'm looking forward to when he's old enough to attend too!

Quick update: Both of my children now attend Copernicus and we are all still lovin it so much. We've gotten to know many of the other parents throughout the during birthday parties and other activities which heightens the sense of community.

... Oh, and yes, if that all wasn't enough, both kids are learning Spanish at the same time too.

    I can't recommend Copernicus enough.

I drive from Manor everyday to take my 4 year old son to Copernicus. As an educator, I have high standards for my own children's schools and couldn't be happier. Every day my child says, "school was SOOO good!" The staff there truly care about him and work to make his school experience safe, fun, and educational, and they are flexible in understanding his personal needs. LOVE. THIS. SCHOOL.

My son has attended Copernicus for the past year, and it has been a fantastic experience thus far. I enjoy how they mix play with actual lessons about whatever the topic of the week/month is. ... My son has one more year until Kindergarten, but we'll enjoy every moment until then. Copernicus gets my full recommendation-- check them out.
