FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED SERVING THE GREATER SACRAMENTO AREA BUSINESSES AND FAMILIES SINCE 1970. Code 3 Catering was founded in 1970 by Ron Sr. who is a retired firefighter today. Ron Sr. while with the fire department was the man who always prepared the meals for his crew. Early one morning the chief called him at home and said; "The caterer for my daughter's wedding is ill, and the wedding is at 11 am this morning. Can you help?" Ron said "sure, I can help you." When the family and guests arrived at the reception they saw a great array of food. The chief told Ron, "Now that's what I call Code 3 Service." Code 3 in the fire service means to get to the fire all out, red lights and sirens.Hence, the name stuck, Code 3 Catering!


Over the years it has become a family business with three generations available to serve your needs.We can provide formal dinners with china and crystal for weddings and banquets or sturdy, high-quality paper and plastic products for casual meals such as BBQ's and fundraisers. Read more

    WOW... They catered our 160 person Kiwanis Hawaiian themed dinner. Excellent pork, chicken, rice, salad & fruit buffet style. Flavorful, perfectly spiced. The custom made sorbets where unique. Orange in an Orange rind, grapefruit in a grapefruit rind and coconut sorbet in a coconut shell.

    I attended a Kiwanas dinner that was catered by Code 3, the food was way beyond delicious, hot, fresh, and the desserts were very creative!
