City Dogs was a pioneer of dog daycare and boarding in DC in 1998. We designed our business to cater to a clientele expecting the best in service and have since refined and expanded into obedience training and dog bathing. We recognize the importance of keeping our furry family members in the care of dedicated dog lovers. Providing cage-free daycare, overnight boarding, grooming, and obedience training for your pup! Our staff is always present and engaged, giving belly rubs and offering the occasional lap nap, and our facility is climate controlled, air filtered, and sanitized.

Our daycare is divided into two groups based on size and play level, where your dog will plan in open play rooms all day. Meals and snacks are offered at your request and after lunch, your dog get some quiet time to listen to classical tunes and relax or have a neighborhood exercise walk. Read more

    We've been taking our dog, Ali, to City Dogs for daycare, boarding and grooming for about 2 1/2 years, and have only great things to say about the operation. The long hours (open until 9pm), easy-to-use website and responsiveness of the staff make it very convenient to drop-off and pick-up Ali from daycare, and to schedule boarding and grooming, regardless of the craziness of our schedules. ...

    I've taken my sweet furbaby, Sugar, to City Dogs multiple times for either a bath or for grooming. The groomer, Purnell, always exceeds my expectations with how he trims Sugar's hair. He is also very patient and loving towards Sugar. ...

    I am so thankful for City Dogs! I have a rescued German Shepherd who can be fearful of humans at first. She went to frequent boarding and daycamp in Miami and absolutely loved it (and all the people who worked there). When I moved to DC (after 2 years at the same boarding place in Miami), I was worried about finding a place, especially after horrible experiences at WagTime and Dog-Ma (only mentioning to warn others to stay away). ...

    City dogs is amazing! Took our rescue border collie mix who has some anxiety to say the least and everyone there is so attentive and on point with their dog skills. Danielle groomed both our dogs and did such a great job making our dogs comfortable and looking great! We will be back, thanks so much!
