  I was going to a weekly support group starting in my second trimester to meet other moms in my neighborhood. ... There is no "wrong way" to bring a baby into the world, epidural or not, and I felt really supported and cared for by Amanda. I would recommend The Chicago Doulas to anyone. My little baby is now 3 months old and even though everyone says you forget what labor feels like, I certainly still haven't and can remember everything, including Amanda's attentiveness to our family's needs

  I delivered my first baby in March 2016. It was always my plan to have an unmedicated birth, and as my due date drew closer and I realized I had no idea what to expect, my husband and I decided to solicit the support of a doula. We were paired with Kelsey at The Chicago Doulas, and from the moment we met her, we felt comfortable and at ease. It is not every day you welcome a complete stranger into such an intimate aspect of your life, but it felt completely natural to have Kelsey join us in bringing our son into the world. She was there to coach me and my husband through some very difficult and painful moments. She was supportive, comforting, and knowledgeable. She advocated for me when I hadn't completely heard or understood one of the medical team's questions or directives. She massaged me, she guided me through visualization techniques, and she made helpful suggestions every step of the way. I was able to manage the pain effectively, without medication, and now I have a happy and healthy baby. The best part was, through all the chaos and blur, Kelsey somehow managed to take pictures of the whole thing which she sent me soon after the birth, and so we now have those precious moments captured forever. I highly recommend this company and especially Kelsey to anyone considering inviting a doula into your birth experience!

  What a fantastic experience we had with the Chicago Doulas! My labor doula Dana was an amazing advocate and support person for me as well as my husband and my mother. They both commented on how great she was and how happy they were to have her there!
  Her positive words and attention to my needs were above and beyond what I could have expected. We were truly grateful she was there! I would recommend your services to anyone!

  Dana has been an instrumental part of our family in the year of my son's birth. From the hospital to postpartum help at home, she's made every step of new parenthood easier by virtue of her expertise and experience. I trust her completely! She is a consummate professional, and we could not be more pleased to have worked with her.
