  Melissa helped my son to improve and fine tune his speech. She was fantastic to work with - focusing on activities my son would enjoy and proactively communicating to me his progress. She utilized a variety of techniques, lessons, and homework tailored to my son's needs and his interests. Her office is very welcoming. I appreciated her very comfortable and clean waiting room as my younger daughter was often with me waiting during the appointment. I am so grateful we found Melissa - my son's speech has improved dramatically and she helped him meet his goals very effectively while having fun.

  I have known Melissa Baker professionally for over ten years. I also had the privilege of working beside her for five years. What I observed about Melissa was her knowledge and dedication to the students with whom she served. She completed detailed assessments and developed achievable goals and objectives designed to improve communication which in turn created greater academic and social opportunities for her students. Melissa grew the Speech Department at Monarch School to over twenty Speech Language Pathologists. Under her watchful supervision, over 90% of communication goals achieved a level of adequate progress or mastery. Melissa's standard of practice was superior. She used evidence-based practices when designing thoughtful, meaningful and creative activities to enhance communicative functions. With her years of experience, Melissa is able to competently work with clients of all ages and of various skill levels. If you are in need of an excellent service provider for Speech and Language services, I highly recommend Melissa Baker.

  I have worked professionally with Melissa Baker for 10 years. She is phenomenal in her ability to assess individuals, plan for and deliver therapy, and modify sessions so that each child achieves their goals. She is extremely committed to her work and her passion for enhancing communication for children and their families can easily be seen. If you are looking for a top notch clinician for your child's speech-language needs, I highly recommend Melissa Baker.

  Melissa and her company can be described as: Professional, Thorough, Compassionate and Results oriented. In any business you could argue these are critical to success factors. Clearly in a clinical situation even more profound. We were highly impressed by the values and detailed results provided by Chagrin Valley Speech Therapy. Simply, highly recommend.
