The Center for Physical Health was founded in 1992 by a diverse yet like-minded team of health practitioners who shared a pioneering vision; to create a place for healing, health, and fitness that would treat the whole person – not merely their symptoms. When founded, The Center was the first clinic in Los Angeles to combine advanced Physical Therapy treatment with The Feldenkrais Method®. Read more
... Through Feldenkrais, I am more mindful of my movement options and choices and my ability to reduce tendencies to move in inefficient, more rigid articulations (a result of compensatory, "protective" movement.) ... She was, in a word,Original recommendation
sensational in her knowledge and skills.
I think that what makes the Center for Physical Health stand out from other centers for physical therapy is their unwavering commitment to deliver a variety of excellent methods; a very thorough introductory and diagnostic process and treatment plan; and a sense that the entire staff is committed to your well-being and will do whatever it takes, in terms of time, attention and competent delivery of services, to improve their clients' health.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Center.

This place has been very helpful for my chronic back and neck pain. They have Feldenkrais practitioners that have lots of experience with patients who suffer from autoimmune disorders or chronic pain. The way it works is that you have an initial appointment with one of the physical therapists. They will assess your needs and suggest physical therapy that focuses on traditional modalities (PT exercises), Feldenkrais, pilates, and/or massage therapy. It was great to be able to receive treatment that was not limited to typical physical therapy exercises. ...Original recommendation
The staff are also very efficient and friendly. There's plenty of street parking (free and paid) near the office. They are also open on Saturdays.
If you've tried traditional physical therapy and many things for your chronic pain but haven't tried Feldenkrais, I would highly recommend Center for Physical Health.
Have been seeing Johnny and Cathy Sweetman for several years. The recovery from eight lifetime spinal procedures wouldn't be possible without their help. Couldn't find therapists like that anywhere else. Marc Pierre knows what he's doing in setting up a multifaceted therapy center.Original recommendation
... Few of them can compare to the Center for Physical health on the quality of care. The therapists are also particularly compassionate as most have used physical therapy modalities to recover from a life changing injury. The Center for Physical Health uses a multidisciplinary approach consisting of physical therapy, medical massage, Pilates, and Feldenkrais all of which were covered by my Blue Cross PPO Insurance.Original recommendation
In particular I believe Feldenkrais under Jessica Zairns has helped me really improve. Her work has helped me understand and address the movement patterns that cause the pain in the first place. Feldenkrais is slow to work with progress being measured in months rather than weeks, but it has produced some amazing results where other modalities could not.
