Cliff and his team (Omar and Ryan) were excellent. We did 4 full home inspections with them (3 pre-inspections and 1 post-acceptance inspection), and each time they were extremely thorough, provided excellent documentation and reports on a quick timeline, and were also straightforward about their overall impressions about the houses. In addition, they were all very personable and interesting. The collective knowledge they have about everything in a house --- from plumbing to roofing to HVAC systems to masonry and more -- is frankly mind-boggling.

    Couldn't recommend them more highly!

Cliff is harsh, which is exactly what you want in an inspector. He will point out every little thing that is wrong, because it's not his job to determine what is important to you. We had Cliff out to inspect two properties and his information kept us from buying what might have turned into a money pit. Instead, we bought a place that appraised for over our sale price and we knew exactly what work needed to be put into it once we closed.

Cliff killed my deal, which I will be forever grateful for because the condo eventually sold (months later) for $35k less than our contract price.

Cliff worked on a team with two other guys who came out to do the inspection. A detailed report was delivered soon after with pictures and write-up. He talked me through what he was looking for, and provided some feedback during the inspection itself. ...

Cliff was quick to confirm an appointment time and his team conducted a very thorough buyer's condo inspection in about an hour. He and his partner arrived on time and immediately split up to cover the unit. His experience with other units in the building gave us insight on potential problems and he identified hard-to-find leak issues, areas where previous repairs used the wrong materials, and several electrical and HVAC issues. ...

HUGE fan of Cliff and Omar at Capitol Hill Home Inspection! They recently did an inspection for me and were incredibly thorough while also taking the time to explain everything in detail to me as we went along. I also had no idea a home inspection would be so fun, they are really personable and funny. Cannot recommend them enough, especially after describing my experience to other friends who had different inspectors. Would give 6 stars if I could!
