Busy Bee Chilhood Development Center

Day Care

I started out as a speech therapist with severely handicapped children. After becoming a mother I decided I needed to do something that was not so demanding and that would allow me to be at home with my own children. Bea's Day Nursery was for sale, we purchased the home/school.I returned to school to earn my ECE degree. I've been here ever since, loving my life with children, and a huge extended family. We now have children of children who attend our school!

Under our guidance, we encourage children to do things themselves even if it means an unexpected outcome. Busy Bee believes learning through doing develops healthy self-esteem through accomplishment. We provide many opportunities so children learn to make decisions on their own.

One of our goals is to help children learn about appropriate social behavior. Our staff is trained to provide a safe and positive outlet for children to express themselves. Read more

I feel so lucky to have found BusyBee for my two kids.

... It's important that our kids learn these lessons early and often--learning independence and the value of delayed gratification. As a long-time high school vice principal I know these lessons can't be learned, and these battles won't be won, as a high schooler.

To me, the BusyBee philosophy of "I can, I am" means anything the kids can do for themselves, or be trained to do for themselves, should be done themselves. And it is wonderful. I have learned a lot from them as a parent.

Busy Bee is GREAT!!! Everyone who works there has the children at the top of their list. Our daughter has been going there since she was about 20 months old an has learned so much. They really take an interest in helping the children learn on a daily basis.

... Just a great place and great people. I cannot say enough about this place.

My daughter has been attending Busy Bee since September 2015. My husband and I love the teachers and the relaxed atmosphere. My daughter loves gymnastics day, the amazing playground, dressing up in their many costumes, and show and tell. She also loves the food (and yes, it's healthy and cooked fresh every day).

I feel like the teachers really care about the kids and spend a lot of time making sure they are able to be creative and still listen to directions. It is a great fit for our family. When our youngest is 18 months old, I plan for her to attend Busy Bee too.
