Eddie was amazing... very professional and honest. He explained everything about brakes, rotors, the compression thingy... He even showed me on the models how warped rotors happen... every educational. Which I appreciated because I know nothing about what to look for when I have problems but now I do! Most important thing I noticed about this shop is... THESE GUYS WORK!!! not a single guy was outside smoking or on his cell phone like the Firestone up the road from here or D&S Garage... These guys came in the office used the phone for business went back out worked came in called for updates and back to work. They didn't even waste time talking to me... I will ALWAYS bring every car I own here for brake jobs!!!!! Thank you guys!!!

If you're looking for a shop with the best customer service and quality work, then look no further. This business has the MOST honest mechanics I know of in San Antonio. They are not going to try and sell you something you don't need like these big franchise shops do. These guys know their stuff and they will take good care of your vehicle. I won't take my truck to anybody but them. They are the BEST!

I took my car to them for new rear brakes and we all discovered that it needed a lot more than just brakes. It needed wheel cylinders and bearings on top of the new shoes. They got it all taken care of and got me on my way, and then the driver side wheel decided to give me more trouble, so Eddie promptly had me take the car up to them and he even gave me ride home and back up there when they were done! I definitely recommend this place.

Fair prices and good service. They helped me out when a dealership gave me an outrageous price to fix my wheel bearing and brakes. Very helpful and communicative when it comes to questions and time it will take.

Eddie Gruentzer is a terrific worker/owner. I've had a lot of work done over the years on 2 cars, and he and his crew have yet to screw up a job. They're done brakes, air conditioning, alignment, clutch replacement, shock absorbers, ignition coil and I'm probably forgetting a few things. I gave up on dealer service after a very bad (and expensive) experience at an I35 Ford dealer, and I'm glad I went to Brakeworks. Don't take chances with other shops.
