Boston Lindy Hop

Dance Teacher

Lindy Hop is the original Swing Dance, developed in Harlem in the 1920s and 1930s. There are numerous other swing dances out there, but virtually all of them evolved out of the patterns and rhythms of the Lindy Hop. The dance still has a large and active following throughout the world today! Read more

Boston Lindy Hop (BLH) is your one-stop-shop for all your Lindy Hop learning experience in Boston. Whether you are a beginner, an intermediate or an advance dancer, they have classes to cater to everyone's needs. I initially started learning swing dancing just out on the social dance floor at Boston Swing Central, but something was missing. All the wonderful dancers I loved to dance with, told me they had taken classes with BLH (previously- New School Swing). I finally ended up taking lessons every couple of months there and it profoundly improved my social dancing experience. The instructors are dedicated, friendly, approachable and needless to say wonderful teachers. I would highly recommend taking lessons at BLH.

I love this studio. This is the best place I've tried to learn swing dancing in the Boston area. The instructors are very knowledgable and encourage everyone to be the best dancer they can be in every class.

Boston Lindy Hop Lessons are awesome! I registered for the full series in May, taking lessons level 1 through three. They were all great! Instructors pay close attention to each student and help you improve your style, connection, the flow of your dancing while having fund and learning new steps. Each instructor was engaging, making the lessons fun, with a good balance of introducing a move, practicing, and practicing with music. It is a friendly environment inviting to build community of like minded people who love to dance. Highly recommended!!!
