Shawn started out at as a paramedic who found cycling and fell in love. Since then he has been a sponsored athlete for 8 years with experience in racing road, cyclocross, and mountain bike. His focus through most of his sponsored years has been endurance mountain bike racing with a keen focus on 12-24 hour races. As such, he understands comfort, nutrition and lightweight performance on a bicycle. Shawn continues to race and train on a regular basis and is looking forward to 2011 being an off year for racing.

Jenny is an avid runner who has discovered cycling as a great way to motivate and stay in shape during the really hot and really cold months. Her focus with bikes is on keeping things simple and comfortable. As a "newbie" to cycling, she understands the intimidation factor that many other area shops bring to the mix and is excited to bring a woman's sense of touch, style and riding to the mix at BRC. Great shop. I've purchased bikes here for myself and my kids, as well as gotten service and fittings. They're always laid-back, easy to work with, and never pushy.

My siblings and I bought our father a bike from Blue Ridge North. The staff was very helpful and the manager Jip helped me handle everything over the phone so my parents could go in, and pick out his bike, and roll on.
Could not be happier with their great service.

This place is awesome! I went to their new location on Preston Ave for service on my mountain bike. They were super friendly and helpful (same as when they were on Milmont). Justin worked on my bike while I waited, explaining the work and any options. They have lots of inventory - all kinds of bikes at different price ranges, lots of accessories. The store is spacious, well lit and attractive. Most of all, I love their attitude and excellent customer service. I highly recommend Blue Ridge Cyclery in Ch'ville.
