Black Knoll Studio is privately owned and run by Rafael Anton Irisarri, an American composer, interdisciplinary artist, multi-instrumentalist, and curator.
Over the last 20 years, Irisarri has engineered on all kinds of great projects - mastering, mixing, or remixing for some of his favorite artists, musicians and labels. He's produced everything from music and sound design for contemporary dance choreographies, corporate branding campaigns, indie films, and television placements to video and art installation pieces exhibited around the world. Rafael mastered a project for me, and was an absolute pro. He was exceptionally communicative, and did an excellent job mastering our music. We needed a few revisions, and Rafael was extremely flexible and accommodating. Black Knoll is definitely my go to for mastering!
