We accept most insurances and are a preferred provider on many insurance plans. We also accept patients without insurance.
We're proudly owned and operated by Dr. Aaron Tinkle. You can find us at the base of Mt. Tabor in Southeast Portland. Our practice is easily accessible by bike, MAX or bus. Read more

Great dentist!

Awesome, modern, and clean. I've shown up by happenstance half an hour earlier for both appointments and they took me in early (despite me expecting to wait). Extremely friendly people. If I had to be critical of anything, sometimes it's a bit difficult to get in touch with them via phone, and that's me making an issue where there really isn't one. -

Let me start by saying that I am TERRIFIED of the dentist. I had bad teeth as a child and needed fillings often and after a couple bad experiences I've garnered a pretty intense fear of dentists. And that's how I found this practice.

...Lucky for me I ended up finding a wonderful oral surgeon who happened to have an office manager that used to work at Belmont Dentistry. She was kind and understanding of my issues and immediately recommended Dr. Tinkle with strong reassurances. I made me appointment and Paula at the front desk was wonderful. Another genuinely nice and compassionate human soul.
Finally my appointment came and I was exceedingly nervous. But when Dr. Tinkle came over he was so gentle, patient, and kind that I felt myself feeling naturally a little better. He was incredibly honest about reviewing my previous treatment recommendation and delivered his opinion in such a way that I was much less overwhelmed than I had previously felt.
I've now had three appointments there and can say that not only is his work as excellent as his care for his patients, but he has helped me feel immensely more confident at a dentist office. His staff is also incredible, every person I've met in there clearly loves their job and where they work.

We have been going to Belmont Family Dentistry since about the time it opened. Dr. Tinkle and the staff are absolutely fabulous; so friendly, so welcoming and so professional, you almost forget that you're going to the (sometimes dreaded) dentist's office. They remember individual important things about patients' lives (like birthdays and other holidays) and care so much about their patients' well-being. And they also like to have fun! We will continue going here for our family's dental care as long as we can!

I recently struggled with finding a dentist I felt I could trust. My old provider sold his practice and the new Dr. that replaced him was cold and I felt to inexperienced. After being without a dentist for over a year I finally made the decision to try Belmont Dentistry. From the moment I first called to the day after my initial appointment I was amazed at the great customer service I received! I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment!
