Brian won me over when he did an incredible job troubleshooting a mystery noise I was having. First he listened to me describe it (extra points for that already) then he inspected my bike and when he couldn't reproduce the sound in the shop, he took it for a ride (more points). He came back and explained to me that he thought it was worn bearings in the front hub. To be sure he swapped out the wheel and took it for another ride and sure enough the noise was gone. So I needed a new hub, and that is not at all the end of the story. We both realized this was an opportunity for an awesome upgrade. The wheels I had were the stock wheels that came with the bike, not bad but nothing special, not really worth the rebuild. So he showed me some budget friendly rims and hubs and was kind and patient while I hemmed and hawed about what color spokes and nipples to get. He placed the order then let me borrow a wheel until the parts came in and he built the new wheel. When I came to pick it up it looked freakin awesome and I immediately ordered the rear wheel too. When I came to pick up the rear wheel he really went above and beyond. Another mechanic had switched out my cassette and tire because Brian was helping someone else. As the other mechanic was putting my wheel back on Brian said “what are you doing?” he came over and took the tire off so that he could line up the rim logos opposite the tire logos to get that perfect balanced look. This is not even the complete story because he also managed to fix a troublesome shifting problem that I had been having and stayed late to do so. Clearly, Brian is the best.

Legit store, always buy stuff from them on ebay because I'm too lazy to go there. But either way, it's a good spot with great prices. Especially for things like locks, chains, wheelsets, bars and tires for SSFG bicycles.
