Brandi and Vuthy started teaching Ballroom and Latin dancing in 2002. They have performed and competed in Smooth, Rhythm, Standard, and Latin at competitions around the country with their students and with each other. They opened their own dance studio in 2006, and have taught at Indiana University and the University of Pennsylvania. Since moving to Philadelphia, they have continued their training in Modern and Contemporary dance. Can't say enough good things about Ballroom Philadelphia! My partner and I recently chose to take a private lesson with Vuthy. We both always wanted to learn how to dance but didn't want the pressure of a full class of people so a private lesson seemed to be the perfect way to go. .... We learned steps to 4 dances in 40 minutes which I didn't think was possible. Vuthy, played all kinds of music from classical to pop songs-proving that we could use these steps on any type of dance floor. We had a blast! Ballroom Philadelphia definitely has two repeat customers!

My fiance and I went for a private lesson so we could look coordinated for the first dance at our wedding. We absolutely loved our lesson! Vuthy was extremely helpful and positive, and made it easy for us despite our lack of experience. Not only did we have a great time, but also feel really confident about our first dance!

Ballroom Philadelphia was absolutely amazing to work with in preparation for our wedding first dance. Both Vuthy and Brandi are amazing instructors, and they make you feel comfortable and confident right off the bat. We took private lessons with Vuthy and can't speak more highly of the experience. He really took the time to get to know us as a couple and worked with us to create a routine that fit us well (and impressed our guests too!). The group lessons were a great chance to get to know other couples who were at various stages of learning. The studio also has a great community. We ended up loving it so much that we're continuing to take lessons even after the wedding!

The most comfortable and friendly atmosphere you could hope for. I am not a dancer by any sense of the word but Vuthy has transformed me into someone that can hold my own now. My fiancee and I laugh and smile the entire time, We've recommended 6 other couples that have all had similar experiences. Must try it for yourself.

This place is amazing, they make you comfortable enough to be yourself and let loose. We went to the studio with no set dances to learn and for no reason beyond gaining a new experience. With little direction Vuthy was able to show us 3 different dances with ease. His positive attitude and encouragement made us relaxed and open to his guidance. We are excited to go back and continue our great experience while learning a few new moves.
