  There is a reason why Buddy Jones has so many five star reviews. Buddy is a spectacularly gifted musician and a skilled teacher. He allows his students to dictate the direction of their learning by focusing on specific songs they want to learn, and then seamlessly weaves in supplemental skills and knowledge into each lesson. He transcribes everything by ear right in front of you so that you can better understand the structure and theory behind the song. Working with Buddy was great, and I would recommend him without reservation to guitar players of any ability level.

  Buddy is an exceptional teacher. I have had many guitar teachers over the course of my life, and Buddy is by far the best I have ever had. ... When I look back on my skill set when I started and compare it to now, I can honestly say I am a much better guitar player and my understanding of music, how songs are constructed and ability to play are worlds away from where I started - and I have Buddy to thank for that.

  I learned more about playing blues and jazz guitar in a year and half of weekly lessons with Buddy than I did in the prior 30 years trying to learn on my own. Buddy is patient, knowledgable, and was flexible even when my work schedule got in the way. I’m so glad he was able to teach this old dog new tricks and licks!
