  My hubby got me 4 private dance lessons as a gift for Christmas. He has 1 1/2 left feet (so not totally unteachable) and knows how much I like to dance. First plus, the gift certificate was good for 6 months and time flew. ... We learned 5 different styles and are strongly considering returning for classes and some of their Friday night walk in classes to add to what we've learned. Final plus, everyone we encountered was very nice and no major pressure was applied to sign up for anything additional. In summary, lovely people, a great instructor in Monica and a good time!

  An amazing place! The staff were wonderful in helping me find a way to drive my passion for dance. This is not an easy feat for a 50 something woman who has never danced before. The owners and staff are exceptional, kind and patient with each student that crosses through their doors. At this studio, they make you feel like family, not just another client. Whether you are dancing for the first time or advancing your skills, I have not yet found another studio as this. Because of Kristy and Carson Watson and their team of amazing instructors, I am pursuing my dream of a competitive ballroom dancer.

  We took private wedding dance lessons with Carson and had a blast. He put together a choreography based on our first dance choice and every lesson was a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend Austin Uptown Dance and Carson to everyone who is looking for something a bit more unique for their first dance.

  My wife and I have been taking lessons at Austin Uptown Dance for several months and love it. They have great instructors and a friendly atmosphere. They offer many different styles of dance, although our focus has been Two Step and West Coast Swing. We signed up for the unlimited group lessons, which allows us to take as many as we want, and really makes sense if you plan on learning more than one style of dance. We have met many new friends here and are very happy with the facility.
