Our optometrists in Sacramento, Dr. Krister Holmberg, and Dr. Shephali Patel are dedicated to helping you maintain your eye health. Dr. Krister Holmberg provides comprehensive eye examinations and fits all types of contact lenses, such as soft, hybrid, RGP, Keratoconus, and Scleral, just to name a few. Dr. Shephali Patel also provides comprehensive eye examinations, and she works with patients that have low vision.
Both Dr. Holmberg and Dr. Patel are certified to manage and treat glaucoma and attentively look for eye health problems during the examination, including but not limited to AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration), cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. Read more

I love the customer service at this place. All the staff are helpful and professional. Dr. Holmberg is very good at explaining how things affect my vision and how my eyes are changing every year. They are very thorough with the testing that they do as part of the evaluation.

I went in yesterday for an eye exam, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. After I was warmly greeted and checked in, I did some quick prescreening tests- they have such high technology equipment here, its very assuring that I'm getting the best and thorough care. I then saw Dr. Patel (who booked my appointment as she occasionally moonlights at front desk- super cute) who is absolutely amazing! She is so knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. She is incredibly attentive, honest, friendly, and fast. Dr. Patel is the ultimate expert, I will definitely be back to see her for my annual eye exams! ... -

So first I would like to start by saying, "I'm so happy I could cry." I can now see! I live in Paradise, Ca and drive all the way to Sacramento because these folks are the eye care dream team. After having seen five eye doctors to no avail, spending hundreds upon hundreds on prescriptions, contacts, and glasses that didn't work, I was becoming so terrified of no longer being able to see and no doctors that could help me anymore. I truly have one of the most difficult eye prescriptions ever to figure out. In fact, it's safe to say that I am that one patient that doctors dread because of my very difficult prescription challenges. But Arena Eye Care did it, they are my heroes! ...

I have gone to many eye doctors and none come close to expertise of the doctors in this office. I have tried many different kinds of contacts and these guys got it right on the first try. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new doctor or are ready to have the best eye care available.
