I have only had a consult with Dr. Tajirian (due to time constraints only ) but I have had MOHS surgeries numerous times. Keep in mind she is not just a dermatologist. She is a MOHS surgeon. There are very few of them around and I wouldn't be surprised if she was the only one in Oakland. This is a specific training in dermatological surgery that is a fabulous "new" method. She's very well trained and constantly learning. She is one of the best.

I couldn't be a bigger fan of Dr. Tajirian. She is thorough, friendly, and very quick. I am a patient of both offices and have had every message returned, every prescription called in without fail. Her staff is equally as talented.

My son needed a full evaluation from a dermatologist ASAP for the Marines. His regular Dr could not get him in for at least a month. I called every dermatologist from Brentwood to Lafayette. Not one gave a hoot about his situation until I called Ani's Lafayette office. They were booked as well but recommended I call the Oakland office just to see if one of the Drs could fit him in. Oakland took down my info and said they'd call me back to let me know. Within 20min I got a call saying Dr. Tajirian could see him the very next day. Amazing! Upon arrival, we were greeted by very nice staff. ... My son got what he needed, and Ani answered all questions we had; even the stupid ones (ha). I did not feel rushed at all. Thank you so very much Dr. Tajirian! I realize we were lucky to be seen so quickly, but this is a Dr who's worth waiting for.

Dr. Tajirian is absolutely excellent - and I am very hard to please. I've spent my career in healthcare, and I'm not easily impressed. She is knowledgeable, caring and does excellent work. She did two mohs surgeries on me - one required being closed with a "flap" because she had to cut in very deep to remove the basal cell cancer. I had around 50 stitches on my forehead, and you can hardly see the scar. I highly recommend Dr. Tajirian!

... She is a consummate professional in every way. Her office and support staff are wonderful, as well. My appointment began on time, she explained everything in detail, and could not have made me feel more comfortable. She is highly skilled and loves what she's doing. I have very little to no scarring thanks to her follow-up care and support. Even the greek music she played during the surgery was a delight and added to the enjoyment of the experience. Yes, I said enjoyment. What in most cases would be an unpleasant and mildly traumatic experience, is transformed by Dr. Tajirian and her assistants into a mostly painless and pleasurable encounter. You can't help but feel you are in the best of hands with her as your doctor.

I have suffered a lot of sun damage in my past and did not adequately protect my skin, so I assume that I will be seeing more of Dr Tajirian in the future. I am delighted and grateful to have such a skilled physician whose practice is nearby. ...
