Furniture Repair

We are a home mobile service. Have your precious antique, vintage and modern furniture restored, repair and polished in the convenience of your own home. I am a Professional Conservator with over fifteen years of industry restoration experience. I've discovered that most of my clients prefer for their valuables to be restored in the privacy of their own home in order to prevent potential damage during transportation/shipping to a restoration shop. The cost for shipping is pricey these days. Now you can save on shipping expenses by working with me. Additionally, I can also pick up small items for repair or restoration.

I operate in the Greater Los Angeles area and specialize in furniture repair. I provide comprehensive furniture care, from restorations to repairs and everything in between. Amayamark's service is prompt, affordable, and of the highest quality. Let’s get started on your next restoration project together. Read more

This is a follow-up review of a follow-up repair that Alex did to his own work. One of the mid-century walnut dining chairs he'd repaired (of the eight he'd done) had a weird knob under the seat upholstery. I took it back, and he was as mystified as I was. He took it in, did the repair (turned out a repair dowel had slipped when being drilled out for a screw anchor) and had it ready in 2 days. No charge, no questions, just an excellent workman and excellent service. Fair prices and good warranty ethic. Use this service.

Alex the Furniture Doctor gave hip replacements to six West Elm dining chairs & saved them from the landfill. These "Made in China" chairs use cheap threaded inserts that crack & spin inside the wood so bolts don't tighten & legs are wobbly. Post-surgery, 5 of the 6 chairs are solid & stable. Alex is the best & mobile service is so convenient!

Alex was extremely professional from our first communication via email and then text. I live in Santa Clarita and it was no problem for him to come out to do the chair repair within a few days! My chair is an antique kitchen chair and had split right down the middle. "No problem," Alex says! He fixed it in one hour, PLUS checked all the other chairs to make sure they were okay AND tightened the screws on my very wobbly kitchen table. No more cracks, no more wobbles, and the price was VERY reasonable. Plus, Alex is kind and lovely. He brings in a sheet of plastic to cover the floor, wore booties into the house (I have a no shoe policy), and performed furniture repair surgery! I can't recommend him enough.
