Fast forward one year later, and the boutique expanded by opening up a warm and beautiful brick and mortar store in the Lower Nob Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. I had an amazing experience this past Sunday at the sample sale they were holding! Kristin and Marisa were helpful, knowledgable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They were able to share in my vision, and allowed me to try on accessories, and I left the boutique with not only a beautiful dress, but two AMAZING accessories to match. My girlfriends and I were very pleased, as our experiences at other places felt rushed and impersonal. I cannot wait to rock this dress, and the awesome accessories! THANK YOU LADIES !! XO

Didn't end up getting my dress from Alt. Brides, but Marisa and Kristin are truly wonderful and their boutique is one of the best in San Francisco! I loved my experience at their store. The shop is intimate and has great lighting. Their selection is unique (in an amazing way) and they listen to your thoughts and make great suggestions. If you have the chance to go here, DO IT.

This place is WONDERFUL! Both the space and the dresses are beautiful! The owner was so nice and helpful, she really made my family feel at home. The designers that she carries do amazing work. The dress that I found is so beyond anything I dreamed and hoped for. Alt Bride is amazing! This shop should be at the top of your list if you are looking for wedding dresses in SF!

After visiting 11 bridal shops in the Bay Area, I can confidently say that Alt. Brides provides the best experience for brides who want a unique and diverse selection of gowns from boutique designers. Marisa, who owns the business with her sister, encouraged me to look through all their gowns and try on every one I was interested in (many places will limit the number of gowns you can try and prefer to pick the gowns for you, which doesn't work for a bride who knows her own style). It's wonderful that you're the only shopper in the store, yet they never make you feel pressured. ...

Fantastic bridal shop run by two beautiful sisters! They have gorgeous boho style dresses from lesser known designers making for a unique selection. They made my dress shopping experience so fun and personal. I recommend to any bride looking looking for more than just your average wedding dress!
