Amazing alteration experience for such a fair price for my wedding dress. I was going to get charged a crazy amount to do small alterations on my all lace and silk wedding dress by bridal alteration shops but decided to go to my neighborhood favorite spot where I get other clothing tailored and have always been pleased. The owner was very patient and did a few fittings until I was completely satisfied. I recommend for brides who don't want to get ripped off and have a quick and kind tailor who'll do a wonderful job.

Miguel is the best tailor that I've been to in NYC, and I've lived here for decades. Miguel's tailoring skills are unparalleled. In fact, I buy clothes, including leather, knowing that if these items don't fit well, that Miguel will ensure that they do! I see a few negative reviews for Alpha and Miguel, and just want to point out that my experiences have always been incredibly positive. Miguel's work is impeccable -- a rare find in our fine city!

I'm not sure I need to go into the merits of Miguel's (and team's) impeccable work or immense professionalism as many other reviews have already done it for me. I will add that in the 2+ years I've been going to Alpha Tailor Shop, I've completely stopped trying on most clothing (that I know will need some work) before I buy it as I'm that confident in Miguel's ability. I have brought dozens of pieces of clothing here (ranging from pants to high end suits) for tailoring, all of which came out as if they were originally custom made. From simple mending of holes to complete restructuring of suit jackets, these guys do it all.

Even better, the prices are some of the lowest in town for the quality of the workmanship. Very highly recommended.
