I have recently moved back to San Antonio and cringed at trying to find a vet. I had gone through many when I lived here before with little luck finding any that were anything other than money grubs. I was so happy to find Dr Gaines. He is 5 minutes away for one positive. He is caring and explains everything in great detail. After a test done on my old dog, he called me personally and told me the results. His prices are very reasonable. He has a great deal of experience. Highly recommend you give him a try.

We took our 17 year old cat in yesterday due to some issues she has been having. They were very accommodating, told me all prices up front, and did not try to talk me into anything unnecessary. The Vet went over a variety of options and we chose what we thought was the best for us at this time. Knowing that we still have more options was a great thing to know.

Dr. Gaines is awesome. We first met him when he was APC. He is such a great Vet that when he left to open his own clinic, we followed even though it's a further drive. We have a Boxer Dane mix and a very high strung Weimaraner who doesn't like going to the vet. Other vets don't like treating him because he is so difficult to handle. Dr. Gaines is very familiar with the breed and handles him like a champ. The clinic is clean and the staff very friendly. If you need a vet, look no further.

Very convenient location for the Alamo Ranch community. Very nice staff and great Vet. Dr Gaines was very informative and friendly on my puppy's exam. I recommend this place to everyone looking to establish with a vet. The facility is new so obviously everything was very nice and clean. The ease to get an appointment is great specially for last minute grooming. Keep up the good work it really shows!

Dr. Gaines is a wonderful vet, and his staff are excellent. My husband and I have two dogs and a cat, and it's great having a vet we can count on. He's very knowledgeable, super friendly, and he does his best to make everything affordable. We're really happy that he opened his own practice!
