Sure, I'm less a hippie guru and more a hitting drums loudly on stage, kinda gal. But I think that gives me a different, practical perspective. After 6 years of medical school, 23 years as a mom (of 4!), 18 years as a doula, 4 years playing percussion in a monster themed band (really), months as a volunteer paramedic in crisis zones, and 3 years treating hundreds of acupuncture patients, I've gained experience that helps me to provide sensible, evidence based treatments paired with excellent diagnostics and a compassionate listening ear.

Tamara was great - she was very straightforward in her explanations, which was awesome to this skeptic on a first time exploration into acupuncture! She was able to get me functional again after an angry set of ribs sidelined me for a few days! I will be seeing her again! As well, she was a total sweetheart and concerned about my wellbeing and comfort in general!

Tamara the acupunktrist was terrific. After answering questions about my health online I made my way to her homey clinic tucked away in her backyard oasis. She was welcoming and intuitive and designed a treatment for my needs. I felt great afterwards and recommend her highly.

Tamara was wonderful to me. She is professional and funny. I've had acupuncture before. But she explained some things to me that I was unaware of (relating to the way the body holds pain). She took time to review the forms I had filled out and discussed what my treatment today would look like. It was relaxing and centering. She even let me pick out what music I wanted to hear (which was punk rock). Thanks so much Tamara <3

I visited Tamara (the proprietor) after I'd injured my knee in a fall. I began to notice substantial improvement after the first session, and I healed much quicker than I expected. She was very caring and sensitive to the nervousness of a first time acupuncture patient like myself. Would recommend!

Tamara is a brilliant acupuncturist! She is attentive, well versed in her field, and makes you feel right at ease. Her acupuncture studio is both quaint and relaxing. She has not only helped me, but several of my friends. I highly recommend Acupunktrix as the place to get acupuncture in Los Angeles.
