Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a wide range of medicine practices that were developed through more than 3,000 years of tradition in China. Acupuncture, herbal medicine, Tui Na (massage), cupping, moxibustion, Qi Gong & Tai Chi, and dietary therapy are all methods of TCM.

Acupuncture and TCM have been used for thousands of years to heal and balance the body naturally and safely. In Chinese Medicine, the body is viewed as a whole. I was hesitant to get acupuncture because I'm not a fan of needles. I've tried everything for my back and shoulders, including massage and chiropractic. Nothing has hit the spot the way that acupuncture does. Sierra is incredible. I feel a difference in the way I move the minute I get off of her table. I sleep differently, my energy level has changed, and my posture has even changed. I don't feel heavy walking around, whereas before I would struggle by the time my lunch hour hit. The ambience of her clinic is peaceful, and therapeutic. ...

I only discovered the power of acupuncture this year. I was diagnosed with IBD two years ago after years of digestive struggles. Western doctors told me I needed to start a regimen of $1500 per month pharmaceuticals to keep my inflammation down so my disease doesn't progress into permanent scar tissues in my digestive tract and a variety of cancer risks. While I don't want this review to become a war of Eastern vs Western medical approaches, I just couldn't accept that sort of treatment to heal my chronic digestive inflammation. That's where I began to seek alternatives. ...

Sierra Abate is one of the nicest and most understanding medical practitioners I ever been lucky enough to meet. Her natural smile sets us at ease, especially important to those of us new to Acupuncture. She not only listens but asks insightful questions to quickly and skillfully identify the simpler solutions to seemingly complex problems. We recommend allowing Sierra to demystify whatever ails you. You'll be surprised how easy and effective her approach to healing. Thank you Sierra for finding your talent and helping so many people.

Sierra. Is. Awesome. Take it from someone who has a needle phobia -- Sierra is absolutely wonderful about respecting your needs while still delivering effective treatment. She listens to your concerns, thoroughly reviews your medical history and needs in a one on one consultation, and then caters a treatment program exclusively to you. Again, take it from a needle-phobe, Sierra is the one to choose in acupuncture. Knowledgable, caring, expert treatment.

I struggle with TMJ issues and I was having an episode that was so bad I couldn't open my mouth very wide. I sought out acupuncture treatment with Sierra Abate. Sierra had a naturally calming personality and I felt comfortable with her right away. She clearly knows what she is doing and is very confident, warm, and receptive to her patients. It's weird to say I felt very relaxed while being stuck with needles but it's absolutely true. I felt no discomfort from the needles. I did feel an immediate relaxing of my jaw muscles to the point where I felt fluid moving in my ear canals, I was amazed at how effective it was in relaxing the muscles in my jaw and ear area. Sierra is a skilled practitioner and I highly recommend her.
