  We've used A-Star for temporary staffing for many years. Their staff is always on time, present themselves very professionally, do great work, and are a delight to have around. I've tried a lot of temp companies and A-Star Staffing is the best I've found in San Diego.

  Nali and Amanda were great to work with! I was on a search for a new career path that matched my skills, a job that had a great work environment and good work and life balance. I was struggling to get an interview on my own. Then I found this agency through a career center flyer. I'm glad I sent them my resume. Within a few days Nali's team contacted me and scheduled an appointment for me to meet with them to see what it was I was looking for. The process was simple and within 2 days they found me an assignment it was a temporary position. While working there I heard there was an open position that was temp to hire. I showed interest and was able to transition from the temp position to the new department. I am now a permanent employee and couldn't be happier. I definitely recommend A-Star staffing if you need help in finding a career that matches your current skills and experience.

  I worked with A-Star in 2013-14 so this review is very overdue. However, it was such a positive experience and I am so appreciative to them for their help that I had to share. I first encountered them after I quit a long term unsatisfying job and responded to a craigslist ad for a receptionist. A-Star called me in to do an interview, typing, and filing test. I wasn't a fit for the original job posting but within a week they placed me in an insurance agency, which is something I've never done before. I enjoyed my position there, but my temp position came to an end within 3 months. I again found myself jobless. Amanda at A-Star worked hard to place me in another position. I think it was less than 2 weeks that she found me another job at an insurance agency. After 3 months, I got hired on as a permanent employee. It has since been 3 years and I, surprisingly, have found myself loving the insurance world and moving up at this company that I love. All thanks to A-Star.

  To start, I have to say that A-Star staffing is a great agency to find a job that's the right fit for you. They match you with prospective assignments based on your education, skill-set, interests, and preferred career path. I highly recommend finding temp employment through A-Star because for 1, short-term temporary assignments give you the opportunity to explore different positions and companies without committing to a permanent position straight away, and 2, A-star temporary assignments are a great way to get your "in" with great companies that recognize and reward hard work. Though an assignment may start out temporary in nature, there's always a chance for full-time employment. ...

  I am very pleased with this agency. I got placed in a great company within a week. The staff was awesome and Diana follows up personally and cares a great deal that you have a good experience. I highly recommend them!
