Electrician
While studying lighting design theater in college, I would apprentice in the summer to a friend who was an electrical contractor.
After getting my degree in lighting design I began touring with live shows.
I was asked to design the lighting for a showroom and a separate art collection here Los Angeles as well as a theme park in Japan.
I then moved into lighting design for architecture and art collections as well as live shows.
It was during the installation of a design for a large residence that we found the electrical contractor over charging the client for the lighting installation, that I decided to get my own electrical contractors license.
This was to protect the budget of my clients but as my reputation grew, it eventually led into becoming a full fledged electrical business specializing in custom electrical work.
Now A Custom Electric has completely eclipsed my lighting design work and providing a good honest electrical service to the community has become my main focus. Read more

I called because the wiring on my doorbell doesn't work. He told me that I could fix it for around $800-1000 or I could just go buy a battery operated doorbell instead. He even told me the best place to buy one in my neighborhood.

Michael is honest, capable and stands by his work - not much more you could ask for with an electrician! I called him to fix an issue with some lights that were flickering in our house. ... The issue is now completely fixed and I feel that I was treated extremely fairly and would absolutely call him again should the need arise! It's great to be able to rely on ethical, trustworthy and skilled people and Michael definitely fits that bill!
