180 Degrees Automotive

Automotive Mechanic

Bogi first got interested in cars as a teenager because as a new driver and as a woman, she didn't want to get taken advantage of when her baby ('74 VW Bug) needed work. After years working at both dealerships and independent shops, she has taken that original motivation and turned it into a business ethic. In 2006 Bogi quit her job and set up shop in her driveway. She called all her friends and let them know she was open for business. Word of mouth quickly grew, and now she runs a full service 6 bay garage in the heart of the trendy Melrose district in Phoenix.

Sarah "Bogi" Lateiner started 180 Degrees Automotive to provide individualized automotive repair service and educational programs about automobile maintenance, and to break the stereotype that "women don't know anything about cars.Full service automotive maintenance and repair. We work on all makes and models with state of the art equipment and highly trained technicians. We also offer basic car care classes for women - ask us for details and the date of the next class. Exceptional Service from every aspect. Not only did they do a great job actually working on my vehicle, but every other little thing about the experience was stellar. Their dedication to local business's and to the community is unbelievable. They shared they are running a "brakes for breasts" special in which during the month of October you get free brake pads and just pay for rotars, and 10% of the overall proceeds goes to the Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund. I can't recommend this shop enough for all your car care needs, it is truly a small community business that earns your dollars by going above and beyond.

Totally different experience than I'm used to at an auto shop!! Just like the name implies, they do things 180° different. The atmosphere almost makes you feel like you're walking into a serene coffee shop. Comfy furniture, well appointed artwork, and friendly faces all around give you that feeling. They really go above and beyond to make the frustration of car repair go away. I compared them to a cruise director. In regards to the repair themselves, the ladies were incredibly knowledgeable, competent, and trustworthy. The technicians got the job done in a timely manner, and communication with me was impeccable along the way. It's important to find a place that won't rip you off with car repair, and I definitely found the place to service and repair all my vehicles.

I took my car to 2 different mechanics to fix my A/C. One was my regular mechanic (Simon's Auto) who I never felt 100% trusted with, but it was pretty good as at time I felt he could have charged me for more than he did and didn't. The last time was a complete failure of misdiagnosing (bad compressor) and runarounds. ...

I LOVE 180 Degree Auto. I've been bringing my cars here for 8-10 years and I've never been disappointed. They are thorough and honest, and they keep you informed while your car is being worked on. There's a wonderful waiting area if you're just in for an oil change, and they will shuttle you home or to work if your car is there for a longer fix. Everyone there, from reception to mechanics, treats you like royalty. I highly, highly recommend 180 Degree Auto!
